2016 Finalists revealed on Thursday
“Gold Jacket Finalists” show broadcast LIVE from the Pro Football Hall of Fame during NFL Network special
The year-round Pro Football Hall of Fame selection process reaches a milestone step on Thursday with the announcement of 15 Modern-Era Finalists for the Class of 2016. The list of finalists will be revealed during the one-hour “Gold Jacket Finalists” special on NFL Network. The show will air live from the Pro Football Hall of Fame in a specially created studio on Thursday (Jan. 7) at 8 pm ET.
“Gold Jacket Finalists” will be hosted by Chris Rose in NFL Network’s Studios in Culver City, Calif. and Steve Wyche live from the Hall of Fame. Joining Wyche inside the Hall’s studio will be Class of 2009 Gold Jacket Bruce Smith and two members of the Hall’s esteemed selection committee, Peter King of Sports Illustrated’s MMQB and Sal Paolantonio of ESPN.
The year-round selection process is integral in fulfilling the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Mission to Honor the Heroes of the Game, Preserve its History, Promote its Values and Celebrate Excellence EVERYWHERE.
The Class of 2016 Finalists will come from a group of 25 semifinalists, reduced from an original list of 108 modern-era nominees, that was announced in late November.

A crew of nearly 50 comprised of NFL Network and Hall of Fame production teams will be on hand to produce the live show. The executive producers of “Gold Jacket Finalists” are NFL Network’s Mike Muriano and the Hall’s Joe Horrigan and George Veras. The studio will be adorned with rare artifacts from the Hall’s vast collection that pertain to the finalists. An audience of invited guests, dressed in black tie optional attire, will be on hand for the program as the finalists are revealed to the nation.
