Cavaliers' Larry O'Brien NBA Championship Trophy to be on Display at Hall of Fame

The Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Mission includes celebrating excellence EVERYWHERE and is inviting sports fans to celebrate the Cleveland Cavaliers’ recent championship. Fans can view the Cavaliers’ Larry O’Brien NBA Championship Trophy on Wednesday, Oct. 12 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Hall of Fame. Canton is the first stop on the Cavs’ #AllForOhio tour giving fans the opportunity to see and take a photo with the trophy.

The trophy will be accompanied by an entourage of Cavs’ entertainment team members such as in-arena host Ahmaad Crump, members of the Cavalier Girls, Scream Team and Cavs mascot Sir C.C. The Hall of Fame and the Cavs will work together to accommodate as many fans as possible to see the trophy Wednesday, but viewing it is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Fans will be admitted free of charge during the hours of 4-8 p.m. to view the trophy in the Hall of Fame’s Gold Jacket Lounge. Additionally, the entire museum will have extended hours on Oct. 12, and fans will be able to receive a $5 discount on all admission prices and a 20 percent discount on merchandise in the Hall of Fame Store between 4 and 8 p.m.

The Cavs’ were awarded the Larry O’Brien Trophy after beating the Golden State Warriors in Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals and becoming the first team in NBA history to overcome a 3-1 deficit in the Finals.
