CLASS OF 2016 PRESENTERS

The eight members of the Class of 2016 – EDWARD J. DeBARTOLO JR., TONY DUNGY, BRETT FAVRE, KEVIN GREENE, MARVIN HARRISON, ORLANDO PACE, KEN STABLER, and DICK STANFEL – will be honored and celebrated during the Enshrinement Week in Canton, Ohio on Aug. 4-7.

Adding to the special celebration will be eight individuals chosen as presenters for this year’s class.

The group includes, for only the second time ever, a wife presenting her husband. BRETT FAVRE selected his wife Deanna to present him for enshrinement.

“Deanna is the best teammate I’ve ever had. She has been by my side throughout this journey and I’m so excited that she gets to play such an important role for me,” he stated.

The only other wife to serve as a presenter was Kim Singletary for her husband Mike in 1998.

“Serving as Brett’s presenter is a great honor,” Deanna commented. “I am thrilled to be able share this special moment in time with him.”

Lisa DeBartolo will become just the fifth daughter to serve as a presenter when she takes on that role for her father EDWARD J. DeBARTOLO, JR.

“I can speak for me and my whole family when I say that there is obviously no higher accolade that my Dad could receive in the professional sporting world. It means so many things to my Dad,” Lisa shared. “It means acceptances, validation and I feel like he can finally exhale and relax a little bit. It’s kind of like a culmination of a lifetime of achievements but somewhat of a new beginning for him too.”

The other daughters who have been presenters include Jessica Elway (for JOHN ELWAY in 2004), Mercedes Sapp (for WARREN SAPP in 2013), Cheyenne Humphrey-Robinson (for CLAUDE HUMPHREY in 2014), and Sydney Seau (for her father JUNIOR SEAU in 2015).

The presenters join the Enshrinees on stage at the Enshrinees’ Gold Jacket Dinner on Thursday, Aug. 4 at the Canton Memorial Civic Center and Cultural Center. Members of the Class of 2016 are greeted by a gauntlet of Gold Jackets (living Hall of Famers). The Gold Jacket Dinner will be televised by NFL Network that evening.

Capers, who will be coaching in the Hall of Fame Game on Sunday, Aug. 7 as the defensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers, will present his former defensive standout Greene. Capers coached the linebacker while serving as the defensive coordinator of the Pittsburgh Steelers and later in Carolina when he was the head coach of the Panthers.

“I’m certainly humbled that Kevin would ask me to present him and I’m excited for Kevin. If there is anybody that deserves to be in, he certainly deserves it,” Capers shared.

Presenters are featured in video presentations to introduce their respective enshrinee and then join them on stage to unveil the bronze bust.

The Enshrinement Ceremony will air on NFL Network and ESPN in their entirety on Saturday, Aug. 6 beginning at 7 PM EDT.
