Much as I think they should be in the HoF, both Randy Gradishar and Drew Pearson are only Senior-eligible nowadays, not via the regular candidate route. Besides, citing tackles is a bad argument to use, as there's no uniform way of determining this stat and many squads (the Broncos, for one) have a reputation for inflating tackle numbers.

What about Randy Gradishar - 1978 NFL Defensive Player of the year, 7 time Pro Bowler, never missed a game, most tackles in NFL history. Donnie Shell, Joe Jacoby, Kenny Easley, and Steve A****er all should be inducted too.

#88 Drew Pearson of the 70's Dallas Cowboys needs to be in the Hall of Fame! He was on the 70's All-Decade Team, won a Super Bowl, was part of some of the best Super Bowls ever played (Cowboys/Steelers), caught the "Hail Mary" in the playoffs against Minnesota, and even threw the last block downfield on Tony Dorsett's record 99 yard run. I bet Roger Staubach woud vote for him. Mr. Clutch deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.

Post-50s short career players like Sterling Sharpe often have trouble getting elected to the HoF, but agreed that Sharpe has a good case. Agreed also that Andre Reed deserves to be in. Not sure that Cornelius Bennett has quite as good a HoF case as either Kevin Greene or Charles Haley, but he'd definitely be in the next group of OLBs along with Greg Lloyd and Pat Swilling -- and I don't see how Clay Matthews breaks into this group of five. Problem is, how many OLBs should be in the HoF from this period? Also, non-kicking, non-returning special team players are hard to evaluate for the HoF, as we don't know for starters if Steve Tasker is more deserving than older such players who were active before such folks received all-pro and pro bowl recognition.

Sterling Sharpe belongs. The beginning of the Packers receiving dynasty. Tought Robert Brooks, who tought Donald Driver, who is teaching Greg Jennings how to study and prepare. Great hands. Great routes. Great numbers. First receiver to have back to back 100 catch seasons. Set standards. Uncannily open at crucial times. Not afraid of tough catches over the middle that ended his carreer. Brilliant receiver. Has speed, size, and strength.
