Peter King’s popular Monday Morning Quarterback column on SI.com has been a must-read by football fans and NFL insiders for years. In 2013, Sport Illustrated’s The MMQB, headed by King, launched and is regarded as one of the most dynamic, entertaining, and in-depth websites dedicated to the NFL. King also serves as a reporter for NBC’s Football Night in America studio show. He has been recognized with numerous awards throughout his career including two AP Sports Editors Awards for excellence in sports journalism and was named the 2010 National Sportswriter of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association. King was awarded the prestigious Dick McCann Memorial Award by the Pro Football Writers of America in 2009.
Thurman Thomas was selected in the second round, 40th player overall, in the 1988 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills. He instantly became a vital piece of the Bills’ high-powered “no-huddle” offense that vaulted Buffalo to an unprecedented four straight Super Bowl appearances. The NFL’s Most Valuable Player in 1991, a five-time Pro Bowler, and a member of the NFL’s All-Decade Team of the 1990s, Thomas led the NFL in yards from scrimmage a record four consecutive seasons. Thomas retired after 13 seasons, which included one final year with the Miami Dolphins, with a career total of 12,074 yards rushing and an additional 4,458 yards on 472 catches. He was enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2007.
