Gold Jacket Tony Dungy was the keynote speaker at the “Dad’s Take Your Child to School Day” event at Gibbs High School. Dungy shared his message about character development and the importance of education. Gibbs High has made the program a statewide initiative that aims to highlight the importance of fathers and male role models.

Class of 2006 Enshrinee and former Dallas Cowboys defensive end Randy White visited Corpus Christi to help Valero with a United Way Fundraiser. Valero is the world’s largest independent petroleum refiner, and a leading marketer, ethanol producer and corporate citizen. White visited with guest and talked about what is means to be a Cowboy and belonging to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

And finally, former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre discussed his excitement for rookie signal caller Carson Wentz on SiriusXM NFL Radio. The undefeated Wentz has the all-time passer impressed. Favre believes the rookie looks like he’s been under center for ten seasons or more. Favre and Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Peterson worked together in Green Bay for seven years. Former teammates and best friends, Favre is confident that Peterson will get the most out of Wentz.
