Ticket must be presented upon entry into the Autograph Session. Ticket entitles holder to only one autograph per Hall of Famer. Each Hall of Famer is equipped with black Sharpie® markers to autograph items. A desired pen or marker, however, may be brought with you. Due to time constraints, no photos are permitted inside the Autograph Theater. Resale of this ticket is strictly prohibited. All sales are final. All autograph lineups are subject to last minute changes without notice. Emmitt Smith and Jerry Rice will sign FLAT ITEMS only
Look everyone, I understand the autograph prices are outrageous, and deep down I think the players know it too. I don't like it either. But there's a market for it. Blame the invisible hand and the free markets. Blame it on whomever or whatever you'd like. That's the way it goes sometimes. Also, if autograph sessions were cheap or free, the line would go out the door and onto I-77 and take the entire weekend. Really, it would. So relax, everyone! And to those of you who did buy the autograph package, throw a little of that $$ my way :)

this is disgusting. the fact that once a fan has already purchased an authentic jersey or helmet to bring it to the induction ceremony to get it signed by a player must shell out additional hundreds is shameful. its a shame i already bought my tickets to the event because after reading this id rather watch it on TV for free. words cannot describe how unacceptable this is.
I've waited many years to take my girlfriend to the HOF. When she told me about the cost of the autograph signings, I was totaly disgusted. These guys are all getting great pensions, plus how about the continued support they have received from their many fans. SHAME on all of the new HOF members.
why do people buy autographs in the first place?...is it to feel closer to the player?..maybe to feel apart of their achievements?...sems like a big waste of money.. The NFL is just like any other corporation out there...they want the money even at the expense of the everyday person...
I have been Cowboy fan since I was seven I love Emmitt Smith I bought tickets to the game in Canton but who can afford the signing fees. maybe take some of that money and help the people in the Gulf of Oil BP made or make an autograph's affordable. plus you still have to supply the helmet or Jersey UNREAL this maybe the last game I can afford to go, because live and work in the gulf who knows what will happen to are income.
$500 for the class but Rice & Smith won't Sign "H.O.F. 2010"? Thats not right. All HOF should sign their class year and not consider that personalized.
Why is it that Jerry Rice will only sign flats when they have a price for a helmet/football for $169??? I'm confused...And I just bought my tickets.
I agree with all of these people. The Hall of Fame is a place were these players are reverred. To stick it to the fans one more time just to make a buck, just ain't right. I am a Doctor and I can afford to pay the price "if I was crazy enough, but I'm not!" This is insanity haven't these guys made enough that they can appreciate their adoring fans without sticking it to them at every turn. I am a huge collector and fan (Steelers being from the Burgh, Pirates even though we always lose, and Penguins 2009 Stanley Cup winners). I love the sport for what it was, when a player had team loyalty and respect for his fans (the people who put him where he was), not for what it has become though, a cash cow for whoever can get the most. I go to the Super Bowl every year and I buy a Gridiron Greats Ticket (a Charity for retired NFL players without medical coverage) there you can get a bunch of HOF autographs, and pictures with the players, and most of them are real classs acts, and the money goes to a good cause as well. Michael Irvin was there two years ago, I got his autograph for free, he gets it, he supports a charity that helps his fellow players and respects his fans. Why can't Emmit and all these guys do the same. I am coming to the hall, I have 6 tickets, but I will not buy an autograph ticket for Emmitt or Jerry at these ridiculous prices. I think there should be a set base price for all the players, a reasonable price so that the aveage person can meet and get their autographs, if the player doesn't want to sign for his fans then don't put him in the Hall of Fame, he doesn't belong there then, because he is shunning the people who helped him get there. Charge more at another venue if you want too, but the Hall of Fame should be a more sacred place, not just somewhere wo make a fast buck for Mounted Memories and the palyers. Dr. Jim
500.00 to have one autograph per hof this year is about dum. I can remeber when i could wait at the hall of fame after the parade and get a tone of autographs for free before they went into the hall. the hall of fame is a great place to see but the prices are a joke. the players getting in now are rich enough. the hall is stupid. the hall has enough money. I say lets go back to when hall of fame week was at a good price. Now it is a joke. i will not go to any thing at the hall of fame any more if it is more then 20.00 because that is a good price to have. now a days the price of a autograph is stupid. i hope you love loseing money this year because i will not give you any of my.
Have been saving each year so we could come to Canton Football HOF for the last 12 years and this year was no different, however the price of the autograph tickets have changed everything. As a senior couple and husband, retired Navy of 30 years, we cannot afford these prices. We always managed to keep up with how the Cowboys were playing as they were our favorite team, and Emmitt Smith was very good, but he was not the team. The prices for autographs are outrageous!
When Jerry Rice was inducted into the College Hall of Fame a few years ago, he would sign anything. The cost of the ticket was $40 and that included a few other inductees as well. When Emmitt got in the CHOF two years ago, the cost was $100 for the entire class but he would only sign 8x10's that he provided. Still not a bad deal. Why doesn't the Hall either lower the price, since two of them will only sign flats or make them sign anything like everyone else. Workers at the Hall have stated before "hey, they are Hall of Famers, one isn't better then the other because they are in the Hall". If everyone is equal, then make it that way.
five hundred dollars you have to be kidding! who can afford that. what happened to affordable for the fans? without us the fans these over paid players would not be who they are.they should sign for free as a thank you for paying them millions of dollars when we struggle to get by! players should live in the world not fantasy island.
TOO STEEP> WAIT TEN YEARS AND BUT THEM FOR A THIRD OF THE PRICE
These prices are very disappointing from an organization that considers themselves family and fan oriented. Prices like these lose both. And to tack on limits to that price? I had been planning for Emmitts induction since he retired. I had bought an authentic jersey and a $200 helmet for this event, and now I find out that I had invested about $400 into something that I can't even use. I suppose that the Goal Line Art Set addition will be $500 as well. It looks like all the HOF is getting out of me this year is the $$$ for 2 game tickets. Greed is going to lose them money this year. They probably won't post this because it puts them in a negative light.
I've been an Emmitt Smith fan since he played at FL and especially when he went to play for the Dallas Cowboys but I'm only a soldier in the U. S. Army going into his 10th year and I have to put my amazing wife and 3 year old daughter first since they bougt me the enshrinement tickets and Hall of Fame Game tickets for my Birthday. Hopefully I'll come across Mr. Emmitt Smith because as a SFC in the Army I'm lucky to carry over $500 to my savings in 3 months. If Mr. Emmitt Smith sees this i was looking forward to getting one of your autos on 1 of your jerseys for my good friend SGT DeForest Talberts son beause you were his fathers favorite player and he styled his play after you but he was K.I.A in Iraq 27 July 2004 but I've worn a tribute Airbrushed Shirt to every Dallas game because were both big fans of the Cowboys and I'll be wearing it to your enshrinement because I wouldn't want him to miss his favorite football player get inducted. Congrats Emmitt, Thanks for the memories.
for those prices i could go to cedar point with my kids for the weekend. and have change, well i just talked myself into that one.. thanks hall of fame. see the events on tv for free..

Amazing prices considering the economy and the richness of the NFL. 500.00 gets me every HOF autograph, yet Emmitt and Jerry will only sign flats. So I can't buy one HOF football for about 50.00, pay 500.00 to have each member sign just 1 football ? I'm sorry this is how it has to be for a dad on a limited budget, who wants his 12 old son to have a memory that doesn't cost over 1000.00 to have 1 football signed by all 6 men. Paying 500.00 I can see, but just let us get 1 ball signed by all the class without charging us additional fees for only 2 of the enshrinees. Equality doesn't count when it comes to dollars, that's a sad approach.
