Former Bills LB stops by HOF

Former Buffalo Bills and San Diego Chargers linebacker Mike Stratton stopped by the Pro Football Hall of Fame for a visit today. He was in the area to attend the funeral of Bills teammate George Saimes.

Stratton played for Buffalo from 1962 to 1972 before finishing his playing career with the Chargers in 1973. He was particularly interested in seeing the Hall’s new archives that bears his former owner’s name. The Ralph Wilson, Jr. Pro Football Research & Preservation Center opened in the summer of 2012 and houses the world’s largest collection of documents related to pro football.

Stratton intercepted 21 passes in his career. Selected to six straight AFL All-Star Games, he is also a member of the AFL’s All-Time Team.
