Hats off to your opinion on the best looking helmet designs! Over a 17-weekday period, we’re featuring showdowns between a random selection of helmets found in the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s vast collection.

There really are no rules. We’ll provide details about the helmets and then let you decide which ones are the best. You might just think the helmet has a cool design or you might feel that the historic significance of why we have it is worth your vote.

Only two helmets remain! Voting will continue through Fri. June 7th.

Chiefs vs. Steelers

Hall of Fame linebacker Willie Lanier of the KANSAS CITY CHIEFS added special padding to his helmet after suffering an injury. The PITTSBURGH STEELERS helmet has carried the logo that contains three hypocycloids since the early 1960s. By the end of the decade, Pittsburgh laid the groundwork for their dynasty teams of the ‘70s that started with the drafting of defensive tackle Joe Greene. The helmet worn by “Mean Joe” shows the wear and tear of his play during a Hall of Fame career.
