Life for Andre Reed has been a whirlwind since he was elected to the Pro Football of Fame last month. The fast pace continued for the Buffalo Bills great when he arrived in Canton. He made a special visit on Wednesday to the Hall of Fame to tour the museum and plan for his enshrinement in August.

Reed was overwhelmed with emotion during his tour as he learned about the history of the game and the players who came before him.

“It was amazing to see all of these artifacts and what the game is all about. It brings me back to when I was a kid and first put a helmet on,” Reed shared. “This really puts things into perspective on what the game means and how it’s portrayed not only to society, but each individual that’s ever played the game.  It’s a kid’s game but you get so much out of it in life. It’s molded me into the person I am today.”

The Bills all-time leading receiver documented his entire trip by shooting video with his phone. He also made sure to stop and admire his former teammates’ busts and artifacts before embarking on meetings with Hall of Fame staff.

Reed and his fellow Class of 2014 enshrinees – Derrick Brooks, Ray Guy, Claude Humphrey, Walter Jones, Michael Strahan, and Aeneas Williams – will be formally enshrined into the Hall of Fame on Saturday, Aug. 2 at 7 p.m. ET.
