Moon Returns To Houston For Super Bowl LI


Houston’s native son, Gold Jacket Warren Moon is returning back to Texas, to be a part of Super Bowl LI Opening Night Fueled by Gatorade.
During a spectacular Super Bowl Opening Night at Minute Maid Park on Monday, January 30th at 7:00 PM CT, Moon and rock band X AMBASSADORS will help kick off the nation’s biggest week in professional sports.
"I will always be grateful to the city of Houston and its fans for giving me a chance to play professional football," said Hall of Famer Moon. "On Super Bowl opening night, I am excited to return to my second home and to help fans experience the energy of the big game before kickoff on Sunday."

Currently, Moon is starring in the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s ‘A Game for Life’ a holographic experience where he talks about breaking down the barriers of being one of the first African American quarterbacks in the National Football League.
Moon started for the Houston Oilers from 1984-1993, breaking numerous franchise records including most passing yards and most touchdown passes. He was enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006.
Fans attending Super Bowl opening night will have the opportunity to enjoy special appearances and autographs by NFL Legends.
The celebration will be televised live on NFL Network, ESPN, and FS1, will also feature cheerleaders, team mascots, and a red carpet fan photo opportunity.
The event will conclude with a huge fireworks display, kicking off week-long festivities surrounding Super Bowl LI, which will be played on February 5, 2017 at NRG Stadium in Houston.
