Emmitt Smith promotes new contest

Class of 2010 enshrinee Emmitt Smith, the NFL’s all-time leading rusher, was in New York City on Friday to kick off the Hershey’s Pro Football Hall of Fame Sweepstakes. The contest offers football fans a chance to win a trip to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The grand prize also includes Smith hosting the winner and guests at the 2011 Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival. In addition to the trip for four, the winner and three friends will have their likenesses on display at the Hall of Fame in the form of chocolate busts.

Smith’s busy schedule today has included more than 40 interviews ranging from national TV interviews on CNBC, ESPN Radio's Mike & Mike, ESPN's First Take, and The Dan Patrick Show. He was also interviewed by many high profile regional and local outlets such as WGN in Chicago, WFXT in Boston, KPHO in Phoenix, and KTLA in Los Angeles. Smith, who was enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame last August, also did additional interviews with NFL.com, NFL Network, Pro Football Weekly, and Bleacher Report.

The former Cowboys great also made an appearance at the Hershey’s Store on Times Square in New York around noontime.

In addition to the grand prize, twenty first prize winners will receive a Hall of Fame Collector’s Edition football signed by Smith and 100 second prize winners will receive a $100 Pro Football Hall of Fame gift card.
