HIDDEN TREASURES

The Pro Football Hall of Fame's archives is home to the vast majority of the museum’s collection with approximately 90 percent of the mementos housed in this area.

"The archives is actually the ideal place for these items from a preservation aspect," commented Jason Aikens, the Hall’s collections curator. "In reality, the best thing for our mementos is for them not to see the light of day. But, nobody learns anything from them unless we share them with the public."

ITEM: 1983 Seattle Seahawks jersey. DESCRIPTION: Blue Sand Knit Seattle Seahawks jersey worn by RB Curt Warner during the 1983 season. ACQUIRED: May 4, 1984 DONATED BY: Seattle Seahawks
	Warner, the third player selected in the 1983 draft, had an immediate impact on the Seahawks offense.  He ran for 60 yards on his first-ever carry in the NFL and went on to be named AFC Player of the Year that season.    As a rookie, he became the first Seahawks player to rush for 1,000 yards as he helped Seattle to their first playoff appearance in franchise history.
