Letter from game promoter

This letter appeared inside the game program of a preseason game played between the Los Angeles Rams and New York Giants in Portland, Oregon on Aug. 28, 1955. The game's promoter, Harry Glickman, received permission to use sudden death in the game should it end in a regulation tie. As fate would have it, the Rams and Giants played to a 17-17 tie to force the first overtime game in NFL history.
