Nearly half of the NFL’s teams have seen their single-game rushing record set in the past 10 seasons. Until Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles held the distinction of the longest standing mark of the all the league’s clubs.

LeSean McCoy rumbled for a franchise record 217 yards in snowy conditions during Week 14 to break the record owned by Hall of Famer Steve Van Buren since 1949.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Hall of Fame received a special package from the Eagles that included the jersey, cleats, and gloves worn by McCoy during his record-setting day on Dec. 8, 2013.

Followers of the Hall of Fame on Instagram and Twitter received a sneak peak of the mementos arrival when the Hall of Fame’s Vice President Steve Strawbridge, a native of Philadelphia and former longtime staff member of the Eagles, opened the delivery. (see right).

McCoy’s yardage total came on 29 carries and included two long touchdown scampers (57 and 40 yards) to help propel the Eagles to an important 34-20 win over the Detroit Lions at Lincoln Financial Field.
