** The following is a tentative schedule for media at the 2008 Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Fesitval in Canton. Please note that the schedule is subject to change. Please check back for the most current schedule.

FRIDAY AUGUST 1, 2008

10:30 a.m. - PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME OPENS NEW EA SPORTS MADDEN NFL EXHIBIT
(Pro Football Hall of Fame Interactive Exhibit Area) 

  • In celebration of 20 years of EA Sports Madden NFL Football, the Pro Football Hall of Fame will officially open to the public a new EA Sports Madden NFL exhibit.   A brief announcement and ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. 

    Participating in the ribbon-cutting ceremony:
    Class of 2008 Enshrinee, Darrell Green
    Pro Football Hall of Fame President/Executive Director Steve Perry
    EA Sports Marketing Manager Randy Chase. 

    Note: Parking is located in Lot A nearby the Hall of Fame. Please follow signage to the Public Parking area and use shuttle to the Pro Football Hall of Fame front entrance.

2:00 p.m. - SHUTTLE TO PRESS CONFERENCE

  • A bus will shuttle media to the McKinley Grand Hotel for the press conference. Members of the media should gather in the Media Workroom located on the second floor of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. - PRESS CONFERENCE WITH RETURNING HALL OF FAMERS
(McKinley Grand Hotel, Downtown Canton)

 ** An enshrinement  or game credential will allow you to gain access to press conference.

BOBBY BELL, Class of 1983. Teammate of Emmitt Thomas.

JOE GIBBS, Class of 1996. Coached both Darrell Green and Art Monk. Also had Emmitt Thomas on his coaching staff in Washington. 

JOHN HANNAH, Class of 1991. The first New England Patriots Hall of Famer who played with Andre Tippett. 

ANTHONY MUNOZ, Class of 1998. Played against Fred Dean and Andre Tippett. He and Gary Zimmerman are two of 12 members of the Hall of Fame to play tackle their entire career.

THURMAN THOMAS, Class of 2007. Will reflect on the experience of being enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame last year.

  • Members of the Class of 2008 - Fred Dean, Darrell Green, Art Monk, Emmitt Thomas, Andre Tippett and Gary Zimmerman - will take questions from the media.

*** This is the only media opportunity of the weekend with the members of the Class of 2008. ***

6:30 p.m. - ENSHRINEES DINNER#
(Canton Civic Center)

  • This event is where the Class of 2008 will be presented their Hall of Fame/NFL Alumni gold jacket.

SATURDAY AUGUST 2, 2008

5:45 p.m. - PRE-ENSHRINEMENT INTRODUCTIONS

** Gates open at 3:00 p.m.

  • More than 70 returning Hall of Fame members will join the new class on stage.

6:00 p.m. - CLASS OF 2008 ENSHRINEMENT CEREMONY
(Pro Football Hall of Fame Field at Fawcett Stadium)

  • The enshrinement ceremony for the Class of 2008 - Fred Dean, Darrell Green, Art Monk, Emmitt Thomas, Andre Tippett and Gary Zimmerman.

SUNDAY AUGUST 3, 2008

10:15 a.m-10:45 a.m. - INDIANAPOLIS COLTS INTERVIEW AVAILABILITY
(Cleveland InterContinental Hotel - 9801 Carnegie Avenue, Cleveland; 216-707-4100)

  • The interview availability will be held in the Falcon Room on the first floor of the hotel.  There will be no mult box or podium provided.

    Players not expected to travel for the Hall of Fame Game include DE-Dwight Freeney, LB-Tyjuan Hagler, OG-Ryan Lilja, QB-Peyton Manning, DB-Bob Sanders and TE-Tom Santi.

11:15 a.m-11:45 a.m. - WASHINGTON REDSKINS INTERVIEW AVAILABILITY

TE Chris Cooley, RB Clinton Portis and T Chris Samuels will be available to meet with the media on the seventh floor in the Director’s Room at the hotel.  There will be no mult box or podium provided.
