Minnesota Vikings Brett Favre throws for career-high 446 yards
Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre threw for a career-high 446 passing yards in the Vikings' 27-24 overtime win against the Arizona Cardinals during Week 9 NFL action Sunday. The performance marked the first 400-yard game for the 20-year veteran since December 5, 1993 (402 at Chicago Bears). That span of 16 years, 337 days between 400-yard passing games is the longest in NFL history.
Eclipsing the 400-yard passing mark, however, is not a sure-fire way to earn election into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The lofty plateau has been reached a total of 217 times in NFL history by 109 different quarterbacks. Only 15 of those passers have made their way to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Below is a list of the 59 games in which a Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback threw for 400 or more yards. Dan Marino is the NFL record-holder with 13 career 400-yard games.
