Rickey Jackson was known throughout his Hall of Fame career as one of the most devastating pass rushers. He also had the reputation as a run-stopping tackler from his outside linebacker position.

When he wasn't busy creating havoc for whoever had the ball, he managed to drop back in coverage and picked off eight passes in his career. The Saints were 7-1 in games when Jackson intercepted a pass.

His first career interception came on Nov. 28, 1982 against the San Francisco 49ers off the arm of Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Montana. The final interception of his career happened nearly 14 years later on Nov. 12, 1995 against the Dallas Cowboys' Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman.
