{GALLERY}Pro Football Hall of Fame tackle Jackie Slater joined his son and several other members of the New England Patriots on Tuesday at Stephen Olney School in North Providence, R.I. The Class of 2001 enshrinee who spent 20 seasons with the Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams was a special guest at the event that was led by his son Matt Slater, a wide receiver and special teams captain of the Patriots, tight end Rob Gronkowski, quarterback Brian Hoyer, and guard Donald Thomas.

Jackie clearly was a proud father as he watched Matt lead students in exercise as part of the NFL PLAY 60 program. The students engaged in the Ultimate NFL Physical Education Class as part of the league's initiative to promote health and wellness. Slater then presented the school with a $10,000 NFL PLAY 60 grant to be used for programming and fitness equipment.
