As a rookie, Wehrli led the team in punt returns and recorded three interceptions.
Roger amassed 40 career interceptions, two of which he returned for TDs.
Roger intercepted a career-high six passes in his second NFL season and earned All-Pro and All-NFC acclaim for the first time.
Roger was named to seven Pro Bowls in 14 seasons with the Cardinals.
Wehrli was named to the NFL's All-Decade team of the 1970s. He also earned first-team All-Pro recognition five times (1970, 1974, 1975, 1976, and 1977) and was named All-NFC five times.
Aside from his ability to cover receivers, Wehrli had a keen eye for finding the ball. His franchise record of 19 fumble recoveries still stands today.
