The Pittsburgh Steelers drafted the modern-day “triple threat” star in the first round of the 1987 NFL Draft.
Woodson earned Pro Bowl honors in just his third season.
In 1992 he was named NFL Defensive Player of the Year.
His interception return yards are an NFL record and his 71 interceptions rank third all time.
In 1994 Woodson was one of only five active players to be named to the NFL's 75th Anniversary Team.
Woodson, a member of the 1990s All-Decade Team, was named to the Pro Bowl 11 times; a record for a defensive back.
Woodson earned a Super Bowl ring while in Baltimore. The Ravens defeated the Giants 34-7 in Super Bowl XXXV
Woodson spent the final two seasons of his career with the Oakland Raiders.
