I have to admit after 2 plus year. browsing the internet and I found this article. I was a HUGE Derrick Thomas fan and reading this still moves me. He was a great player and really turn around a franchise and Arrowhead stadium into what it is today. Reading it was emotional but I want to share that I had young kids at the time and I only wore my seat belt when they were in the car as an example. After his tragic accident and later passing, I npw were my seat belt every time I get in my vehicle. Besides the enjoyment of watching who I consider the greatest outside linebacker to ever play the game, that's what Derrick taught me from afar. I've never said that to many people. "Thank You Derrick for changing my life in a small but very important way outside of football".
I Had Qui****ching Football After Derrick Passed Away. I Lost All Passion In The Game. Other Than Lawrence Taylor, Derrick Had Great Gifts(Speed, Knowledge and Passion). I Slowly Began To Watch The Game Again, Hence Time Heals All Wounds. I Have Read The HOF Transcript For Derrick And Felt Compelled To Write Something About A Truly Remarkable Football Player And MAN. I Am Truly Moved And Envious Of The People Who Knew Him Or The Lives He Impacted. Always A Fan Of 58 And His Family. All The Best, Because He WAS!!!
