Joe Stydahar's Bears jersey from '40s

This is the jersey worn by Hall of Fame tackle Joe Stydahar during the 1940s. Huge for his day at 6’4”, 233 pounds, Stydahar starred for the Chicago Bears from 1936 through 1942 before serving in World War II. He returned to the Bears for two final seasons in 1945-46. He holds the distinction of being the first Hall of Famer ever drafted as Chicago used their first round draft pick on him in the NFL’s inaugural 1936 draft.
