Former NFLer Michael Oriard visits HOF

Michael Oriard, who played four seasons for the Kansas City Chiefs in the early 1970s, visited the Hall of Fame on Friday. Currently a Distinguished Professor Emeritus and Associate Dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Oregon State, Oriard was gathering material and information for a documentary film about the history of football.

He and his wife Julie hold a picture out of the Hall of Fame’s collection of Michael from his playing days. A center drafted out of Notre Dame in the fifth round of the 1970 NFL Draft, Oriard played in 42 games in his career.
