11 HOFers to announce 2nd round picks

Thirty-two former players will announce the second round choices of the 2011 NFL Draft on Friday, Apr. 29. Among the group of NFL alum announcing their team's selection are 11 members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Leading the way are three enshrinees from the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2011 – Richard Dent, Marshall Faulk, and Shannon Sharpe – who will announce live during primetime Friday evening the second-round picks of their former teams, the Chicago Bears, St. Louis Rams, and Denver Broncos respectively.

The NFL recently announced that the 11 Hall of Famers and the 21 other legendary NFL alum will make the announcement from the draft held at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. It marks the first time in draft history that an entire round was announced by announced by former players.

Aside from Dent, Faulk, and Sharpe, the other Hall of Famers who will step to the podium on Friday evening include: Anthony Muñoz (Bengals), Paul Warfield (Browns), Barry Sanders (Lions), Jim Taylor (Packers), Willie Lanier (Chiefs), Andre Tippett (Patriots), Willie Brown (Raiders), and Franco Harris (Steelers).

HOF on road for draft

The Pro Football Hall of Fame will also have a presence at several of the NFL team draft parties. Fans attending draft events in Dallas, Cleveland, Chicago, and Washington are invited to stop by the Hall of Fame's booth at the stadiums.
