The annual Black College Football Hall of Fame Classic returns to Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in 2021. The game will feature Grambling State University and Tennessee State University.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 3RD

READING THE PLAYBOOK

  • Event Description: Our local community partners and The Divine Nine organizations are committed to coaching kids to an education touchdown through our “Reading the Playbook” event during classic weekend. This event incorporates mentors and leaders with elementary students for a day of reading and inspiring a strong 1st quarter start in life. This event is in collaboration with Stark and Summit County's The Divine Nine, Black Greek letter Fraternity & Sorority organizations.

HBCU COLLEGE FAIR
9:00am - 1:00pm

  • Location: PFHOF Event Center
  • Cost: Free for Students
  • Event Description: HBCU College Fair will provide game changing higher education opportunities for high School juniors and seniors from the surrounding area giving them the opportunity learn, explore and interact with representatives from HBCU’s across the country. This event is in collaboration with Stark and Summit County's The Divine Nine, Black Greek letter Fraternity & Sorority organizations.

BCFHOF VIP RECEPTION & SOCIAL JUSTICE DISCUSSION
5:30pm - 8:00pm

  • Event Description: Join Black College and Pro Football Hall of Famers, leaders from Grambling State and Tennessee State Universities, national, state and local dignitaries and national celebrities to discuss social justice issues and solutions as part of the PFHOF HuddleUpAmerica series. This ground shaking discussion will include impactful stories from Hall of Famers on their journey on the road to equality and the importance of the BCFHOF today. Stronger Together. Stay for a fun-filled Meet and Greet.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 4TH

BCFHOF CLASSIC "GREEK SERVICE DAY"

  • Location: Habitat for Humanity (need address)
  • Event Description: Join members of the Divine Nine for a “Brush with Kindness” neighborhood beautification project. This event is in collaboration with Stark and Summit County's The Divine Nine, Black Greek letter Fraternity & Sorority organizations.

BCFHOF CLASSIC GOLF OUTING
8:00am

  • Location: Historic Clearview Golf Course in East Canton, OH
  • Cost: TBD
  • Event Description: Join Black College Hall of Famers and many other dignitaries and celebrities for the 2nd Annual Classic Golf Outing at the historic Clearview Golf Course. Last year, over 75 golfers enjoyed fellowship, food and fun. 

    The Clearview Golf Club is the first golf course in the United States that was constructed, owned and operated by an African American. The course was purchased in 1946 by National Black Golf Hall of Famer Bill Powell and opened as an integrated course to the public in April 1948.

BCFHOF CLASSIC FUNFEST

  • Cost: Free entry and open to the public. Food and drinks for sale.
  • Event Description: A NEW “Classic” tradition! Join us for a day full of fun in Downtown Canton at Centennial Plaza. Non-stop entertainment, including music, karaoke, line dancing, games, prizes and talent show. Food trucks and downtown vendors showing off Canton’s finest foods.

FAITH, FAMILY, AND FOOTBALL GOSPEL CONCERT FEAT. MARVIN SAPP

  • Location: Centennial Plaza
  • Cost: Free entry and open to the public.
  • Event Description: The night will be highlighted with a gospel concert featuring the joyful sounds of 11-time Grammy nominated artist, Marvin Sapp. Very special “must see” appearance by Grambling State and Tennessee State band.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 5TH

BCFHOF Classic FUNFEST
11:00am - Until 1hr before kickoff

  • Location: HOF Campus
  • Cost: Free entry and open to the public. Food and drinks for sale.
  • Event Description: A “Classic” tradition! Get ready for an energetic pregame experience on the Pro Football Hall of Fame campus before kickoff. The tailgate will include a must-see marching band preview as the university marching bands enter the stadium in extraordinaire fashion along with non-stop entertainment, including music, line dancing, games, prizes and talent show.

BCFHOF CLASSIC "BLACK JACKET" REUNION LUNCHEON (Private Event)

  • Location: Pro Football Hall of Fame/TBHOF Stadium
  • Event Description: The beginning of an annual tradition. A tight knit huddle of Black Jackets. Sharing love, laughter and fellowship.

2021 BCFHOF CLASSIC GAME FEATURING THE GRAMBLING STATE UNIVERSITY AND TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERSITY

  • Event Description: Come watch the “Battle of the Tigers” as these two legendary HBCU programs collide at the magnificent Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. And don’t leave your seats at halftime as the “Aristocrat of Bands” at Tennessee State University and the “Tiger Marching Band” of Grambling put on a show for the ages! Stay after to see the presentation of the MVP and the trophy to the winning team.
