10/14/2020

For the first time this season a new team has taken the top spot in our Power Rankings.

With Kansas City’s loss to Las Vegas, the Chiefs moved out of the No. 1 position in the Week 6 Power Rankings, making space for the Seattle Seahawks to jump up following their 5-0 start to the season.

Here are the official Power Rankings for Week 6 of the 2020 NFL season.

WEEK 6 POWER RANKINGS

1. SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (5-0)

LAST WEEK RANKING: 2

WEEK 6: BYE WEEK

The Seattle Seahawks are still a perfect 5-0, but they haven’t made it look easy.

Four wins have been by one score, with the most recent conquest coming 27-26 over the Minnesota Vikings.

At the two-minute warning of Sunday’s game, Seattle trailed Minnesota, 26-21, with the ball at its 6-yard line.

Russell Wilson led a 13-play, 94-yard scoring drive, capped off with a 6-yard touchdown pass to D.K. Metcalf with 15 seconds remaining.

The game-winning drive completed a solid performance for Wilson, who threw for 217 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. The early season MVP candidate struggled to find consistent momentum in the win but did enough to propel his team to victory.

2. GREEN BAY PACKERS (4-0)

LAST WEEK RANKING: 3

WEEK 6: @ TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (3-2)

The Green Bay Packers sure needed their Bye Week.

While the Packers have started the season undefeated, injuries have derailed any momentum early in the year.

The week off has given players like Davante Adams, Allen Lazard, Equanimeous St. Brown and several defensive faces a couple of extra days to heal without their absence being reflected in Green Bay’s performance.

3. KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (4-1)

LAST WEEK RANKING: 1

WEEK 6: @ BUFFALO BILLS (4-1)

The Chiefs’ 13-game winning streak dating back to last season has been snapped.

Kansas City fell, 40-32, to the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, marking the Chiefs’ first defeat as defending Super Bowl champions.

The Chiefs’ defense had no answer for Derek Carr and the Raiders’ offense, allowing Carr to throw for 347 yards and three touchdowns on 22-for-31 passing. Kansas City couldn’t stop the deep ball from piercing its secondary as the Raiders had three completions surpass 40-plus yards on the day.

Patrick Mahomes was solid on the day, working Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill into the passing attack, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with the Raiders’ offensive production.

4. BALTIMORE RAVENS (4-1)

LAST WEEK RANKING: 4

WEEK 6: @ PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (1-3-1)

In a game where Lamar Jackson wasn’t at his best, his receiving corps helped push him through.

Jackson threw for 180 yards in Sunday’s 27-3 thrashing of the Bengals on an unimpressive 19-of-37 passing, but when he did connect with his receivers, they made the most of it.

Marquise “Hollywood” Brown caught six passes for 77 yards and one score, and tight end Mark Andrews proved a trusty target with 56 yards and one touchdown on six catches.

The Ravens’ defense held the Bengals to one field goal and 205 total yards of offense while forcing three turnovers.

5. PITTSBURGH STEELERS (4-0)

LAST WEEK RANKING: NR

WEEK 6: VS CLEVELAND BROWNS (4-1)

The Steelers looked sharp after their impromptu off week in Week 4.

Pittsburgh stayed perfect with a 38-29 win over the Philadelphia Eagles behind 239 passing yards and three touchdowns from Ben Roethlisberger.

The breakout performer Sunday was rookie wide receiver Chase Claypool, who set a Steelers rookie record with four touchdowns. The Notre Dame product caught seven passes for 110 yards and three touchdowns and scored a rushing touchdown on a sweep.
