Wow! Memories came flooding back to me this morning as I arrived at Ralph Wilson Stadium in Orchard Park, N.Y. It was 40 years ago (that’s hard to believe) that I played my first NFL game in what was the first-ever game in the brand new stadium (then called Rich Stadium).

I’ll say it over and over again, I consider myself blessed. Here I stand, at age 62, healthy and able to take on this challenge for such a great cause.

I am ready to go! I had a great dinner last night as I carbo-loaded with some great Italian food from Chef’s in downtown. I’d like to give a special thanks to my friends there for picking up our meal.

I’m also appreciative of some great coverage of this story in Cleveland. Check out this article:

I’ll hit the road around 10 a.m. this morning and will check in along the way to Canton!
