Helping to fulfill its mission to promote the values taught through playing the game of football, the Pro Football Hall of Fame opened an exhibit titled, simply, “Character.”RESPECT isn’t handed out like a brochure; it's earned.

While you might think this applies only to the game and actions on the field, that’s far from accurate.

RESPECT is earned in every part of your life and Gale Sayers and Brian Piccolo are a perfect example.

At a time in our country when segregation still was prominent, these two gentlemen went against the norm, becoming the first interracial roommates in the NFL.

They grew closer not only as teammates, but also as friends. The movie "Brian's Song" shares the story of their friendship.
