One of the best running backs in the last 20 years finally was recognized for his accomplishments and will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Edgerrin James was drafted fourth overall by the Indianapolis Colts in the 1999 NFL Draft. He was a star immediately, rushing for 1,553 yards and 13 touchdowns as a rookie.

He made the Pro Bowl and was a first team All Pro as a rookie.

In year two, he had 1,709 yards and 13 touchdowns and his career looked like it was destined for Canton.

James dealt with injuries, but in five of the seven season he played in Indy he rushed for at least 1,259 yards.

When Edge left the Colts, he held every rushing record for the team. He ran for over 9,200 yards in seven seasons and scored 64 touchdowns.

In 2006 he surprised everyone and signed with the Arizona Cardinals. In his three seasons with the Cardinals, he rushed for 2,895 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Despite playing in only 45 games with the Cardinals, James is 13th on the All Time rushing yards list and 17th for rushing touchdowns.

Congratulations to James on a wonderful career and we are glad that the Cardinals could be a part of it.
