From the Frontline to the Hall
The Pro Football Hall of Fame recently received the medical scrubs and lab coat of Laurent Duvernay-Tardif. The starting guard for the Kansas City Chiefs during their Super Bowl LIV victory over the San Francisco 49ers, Duvernay-Tardif earned his doctorate from McGill University in 2018 while balancing his NFL career.
With the COVID-19 outbreak, he decided to opt out of the 2020 NFL season to utilize his doctorate in medicine to help fight the global pandemic. Duvernay-Tardif returned to his native Quebec and serves at a long-term care facility about an hour outside Montreal.
These scrubs and lab coat were used by Duvernay-Tardif while working on the front lines. They are now on display in the Pro Football Today Gallery.
