General Chair, Vice Chair to lead Volunteer Corps for 2021 Enshrinement Festival

The Pro Football Hall of Fame and Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce have named two longtime community volunteers to the top leadership positions for the 2021 Enshrinement Festival, including Enshrinement Week Powered by Johnson Controls. Todd Stover will serve as General Chair and Dennis Manzella as General Vice Chair.

Stover and Manzella will lead the nearly 5,000-person volunteer corps that helps with the planning, coordination and execution of the events surrounding the annual Enshrinement festivities. The volunteers provide a world-class experience to the hundreds of thousands of fans who will descend upon the Canton community for the 2021 Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival including Enshrinement Week Powered by Johnson Controls anchored for the first time by two Enshrinements, honoring the Centennial Class of 2020 on Aug. 7 and the Class of 2021 on Aug. 8.

Among the many other events are the annual Community Parade, July 25; Balloon Classic, July 30-Aug. 1; Hall of Fame Game, featuring the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys, Aug. 5; Fashion Show Luncheon, Aug. 6; Gold Jacket Ceremony, Aug. 6; Canton Repository Grand Parade, Aug. 7; Enshrinees Roundtable, Aug. 8; and Concert for Legends, Aug. 9.  

Stover, a Canton Central Catholic and Kent State graduate, is Manager of Program Delivery & Controls for Emerging Technologies at FirstEnergy Corp. This will be his 42nd year of volunteer service to the Enshrinement Festival, including 39 years on the Hall of Fame Security Committee, 10 years as chairperson.

He is a past-president and chairperson of the Jackson-Belden Jaycees, past chairperson of Parish Council of Saints Philip & James Church and is a member of the Edison Men’s Club, Knights of Columbus #11037 and a longtime United Way supporter. 

Todd and his wife, Shelly, reside in Canal Fulton and are the proud parents of Kyle and Lauren.

Manzella, a New York native, attended St. John’s University and is currently the Assistant Vice President of Marketing for Western Reserve Group. A longtime, dedicated volunteer, Dennis is entering his 27th year of volunteer service to the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival including Enshrinement Week Powered by Johnson Controls. 

Over the past 27 years, Dennis has been the Chairperson for the Appreciation Party, Security and Logistics Committee and the Concert for Legends. He has also volunteered on the Enshrinement and HOF Game Committees.

Dennis and his wife, Rose Ann, reside in Jackson Township and are parishioners at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church.
