Multi-platinum recording artist and songwriter Jimmie Allen will open for country music superstar Brad Paisley and legendary rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd, who are co-headlining the 2021 Concert for Legends Presented by Ford at 8 p.m. ET Monday, Aug. 9 in Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. The concert wraps up the 2021 Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Week Powered by Johnson Controls and the Hall’s Centennial Celebration.

Tickets for the Concert for Legends Presented by Ford may be purchased at www.ProFootballHOF.com/tickets. Prices range from $75 to $285.

“I’ve been a football fan my entire life, and I’ve always wanted to visit the Pro Football Hall of Fame,” shared Allen (pictured), who appeared Wednesday morning on NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” to discuss his upcoming performance in Canton. “So getting the chance to perform at the Pro Football HOF is definitely more than a dream come true. It’s pretty full-circle for me, so I’m really looking forward to this show.”

Allen has been blazing trails since the beginning of his breakout career. He made history as the first Black artist to launch a career with two consecutive No. 1 hits, off his 2018 debut album Mercury Lane: his debut single “Best Shot,” which claimed the No. 1 spot on Country radio for three weeks, and his second release “Make Me Want To.”

In July 2020, Allen released his star-studded collaboration project Bettie James that has garnered 160 million streams and a slew of critical acclaim for the music, the historic nature of various collaborations and its subsequent place in country music history. On June 25, 2021, Allen released the project’s follow up album Bettie James Gold Edition. Doubling down on Allen’s expansive love for music across genres, the album “broadens country’s borders” (Billboard) and includes nine brand new songs featuring Babyface, BRELAND, Keith Urban, LANCO, Lathan Warlick, Lindsay Ell, Little Big Town, LOCASH, Monica, Neon Union, Pitbull, teamwork. and Vikina in addition to the previous collaborations on Bettie James with Brad Paisley, Charley Pride, Darius Rucker, Mickey Guyton, Nelly, Noah Cyrus, The Oak Ridge Boys, Rita Wilson, Tauren Wells and Tim McGraw.

As reigning 2021 ACM New Male Artist of the Year and a 2020 CMA New Artist of the Year nominee, Allen has amassed more than 850 million on-demand streams. His current single, “Freedom Was A Highway” with Paisley, is climbing through the Top 30 on Country radio as he is out on the road on Paisley’s headline Tour 2021 as special guest this summer.

Paisley is a critically acclaimed singer, songwriter, guitarist and entertainer whose talents have earned him numerous awards, including three GRAMMYs, two American Music Awards, 15 Academy of Country Music Awards and 14 Country Music Association Awards (including Entertainer of the Year) among many others. He has been a proud member of the Grand Ole Opry since 2001.

Lynyrd Skynyrd is best known for the RIAA platinum-certified “Sweet Home Alabama” and self-proclaimed signature song “Free Bird” that Rolling Stone said was “easily the most requested live song in existence.” With such everlasting hits as “Simple Man,” “Gimme Three Steps,” “What’s Your Name,” “Call Me The Breeze,” “You Got That Right” and more, it is easy to see why Rolling Stone named Lynyrd Skynyrd one of its 100 Greatest Bands of All Time. The band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.

In 2021, original member Gary Rossington will be joined by Johnny Van Zant, Rickey Medlocke, Mark “Sparky” Matejka, Michael Cartellone, Keith Christopher, Peter Keys, Dale Krantz Rossington and Carol Chase.
