Rackers Kicks Way to Hall of Fame
Arizona Cardinals placekicker Neil Rackers tied an National Football League record on Sunday when he connected on three field goals of 50 yards or more.
The 5th year veteran nailed two 55-yarders and a 50-yard field goal during the Cardinals 25-17 win over the Seattle Seahawks at Sun Devil Stadium.
The Seahawks' Josh Brown also hit a 54-yard field goal on Sunday to mark the first time in NFL history that four 50-yarders were kicked in the same game.
The shoes Rackers wore during the game were sent by the Cardinals to the Hall of Fame. They arrived in Canton on Wednesday. (RELATED STORY: Newest mementos added to Hall's collection>>> )
The only other kicker to have three 50-yard field goals in a game is Morten Andersen who as a member of the Atlanta Falcons achieved the feat during a 19-14 win over the New Orleans Saints on December 10, 1995.
