Brady sets TD mark
Tom Brady established the new NFL record for touchdown passes in a season when he connected with wide receiver Randy Moss on a 65-yard pass during Saturday’s matchup against the New York Giants in the Meadowlands (NFL.com Game Center: NE 38, NYG 35). The play marked Brady’s second touchdown strike of the game and his 50th touchdown pass of the season, placing him ahead of Peyton Manning in the NFL record book. In 2004, Manning broke the 20-year old record held by Dan Marino.
Brady marched toward the record early by becoming the first player to throw at least three touchdown passes in each of the first ten games of the season.
