Playoff Results: 1960s
Professional football in the '60s generally meant one thing: the Green Bay Packers. Vince Lombardi's Packers reigned over the gridiron landscape, winning five NFL championships in the decade, including the first two Super Bowls. But the decade also saw the rise of the American Football League, which debuted in 1960 and rose to equal footing with the NFL. The two leagues merged following the 1969 season.
Note: From 1960-65, the NFL and AFL staged completely separate playoffs. From 1966-69, the respective league champions met in Super Bowls I-IV.
