1922 - Canton Bulldogs 19, Toledo Maroons 0 The Bulldogs, led by the dropkicking of tackle Pete Henry shutout the Maroons as Canton claimed the NFL championship with a 10-0-2 record. 1944 - Philadelphia Eagles 26, Cleveland Rams 13 The Eagles defense intercepted six passes while the Philadelphia offense clicked both on the ground and in the air. 1950 - Chicago Bears 6, Detroit Lions 3 George Blanda booted two field goals off the muddy turf at Wrigley Field to push the Bears into a division playoff against the Rams the following week. 1978 - San Diego Chargers 37, Seattle Seahawks 10 Quarterback Dan Fouts completed 22 of 33 passes for 279 yards and threw three touchdowns including a pair to rookie John Jefferson. 1989 - New Orleans Saints 22, Buffalo Bills 19 QB John Fourcade made his first start since 1987 and threw for 302 yards and 2 TDs to lead the Saints over the host Bills.
