Native American education program held at HOF
The Pro Football Hall of Fame partnered with Walden Media to celebrate Native American Month at the Hall. A special guest of the museum was author Joseph Bruchac who penned the recently released book, Jim Thorpe: Original All-American that was published by Walden Media.
The two-day program launched on Tuesday night with a private evening reception for area educators. Bruchac was on hand for a book signing during the event.
Then, today, area schools took advantage of the Hall's Native American educational seminar which again featured Bruchac. Students visited the Hall of Fame and listened to a lecture by Bruchac before embarking on a tour of the Hall's exhibits.
