Jim Bakken

Jim Bakken, former St. Louis Cardinals placekicker, visited the Hall of Fame on Wednesday, August, 22. Bakken took a moment out of his tour to pose with the shoe that he wore on September 26, 1967 when he established a new NFL record by kicking 7 field goals in one game.

The feat stood unchallenged until November 5, 1989 when Rich Karlis of the Minnesota Vikings tied the mark. The record has since been equaled two more times by Dallas Cowboys kickers -- once by Chris Boniol and most recently by Billy Cundiff in 2003.
