Veterans Day Salute at the Hall of Fame on Saturday
Following a four-year career in the Air Force, Chad Hennings played nine seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. |
Highlighting the day-long recognition of our veterans and active military will be a special ceremony featuring former Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle and Air Force veteran Chad Hennings. Scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Hall of Fame’s NFL Films Theater, the ceremony will include a special showing of GIs of the Gridiron, a short film produced by the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) recognizing prominent NFL players who served their country as members of the military. The DAV is a proud sponsor of the Hall of Fame’s Veterans Day salute.
The first 1,000 visitors will receive this souvenir pin. |
Saturday’s ceremony will open with the singing of the National Anthem by Sarah Rucker, a student at Lake High School in Hartville. The 2005 Canton Idol has sung the National Anthem at several national events including the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Ceremony, Atlanta Braves spring training games, 2005 MAC Basketball Championship, and at Cleveland Barons hockey games at the Quicken Loans Arena.
The color guard will be provided by the United States Coast Guard Station Fairport.
