Green donates mementos
Darrell Green, a member of the Class of 2008, donated artifacts to the Hall of Fame almost as fast as he ran down his opponents. Less than two weeks after delivering his enshrinement speech from the grand stage at Canton's Fawcett Stadium, the four-time champion of the NFL's Fastest Man competition donated artifacts from his 20-year career with the Washington Redskins.
The mementos - pictured above - have been added to the Hall's permanent collection and include a helmet, jersey, shoes, and Tootsie Rolls. Green was known for placing the candy in his socks prior to taking the field.
