5,000 yards to Canton
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees reached an NFL milestone during Week 17 when he became only the second player in league history to throw for more than 5,000 yards in a season. The jersey worn by Brees in the regular season finale when he hit the 5,000-yard mark has arrived at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The jersey will be placed on display in the Hall's Pro Football Today Gallery.
Brees, who narrowly missed breaking the long-standing single-season mark set by Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino in 1984, finished the 2008 season with 5,069 passing yards.
