Mementos from Hanson's career mark

The jersey, pants, shoes and socks worn by Detroit Lions kicker Jason Hanson and the football he kicked to set the NFL career record for 50-yard field goals was donated to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The memorabilia arrived at the Hall of Fame on Wednesday.

Hanson converted a 51-yard field goal in the opening quarter of the Lions Week 15 game against the Indianapolis Colts on December 15, 2008 for his 41st career field goal of 50 yards or longer. With the kick, he surpassed the career total of 50-yarders by Morten Andersen. The field goal also equaled Mortensen’s single-season record of eight field goals of 50 or more yards.

Hanson’s memorabilia will be placed on display in the Hall’s Pro Football Today Gallery. That exhibition hall, which opened in May 2008, focuses on the current NFL record moments.
