The shelter-in-place alert at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium has been lifted and the Enshrinement of the Class of 2024 presented by Visual Edge IT began at about 1:40 p.m.
Heavy rain and intermittent lighting had caused the Pro Football Hall of Fame and its broadcast partners to delay to start of the enshrinement.
The ceremony began about 1:40 p.m.
The Enshrinement of the Class of 2024 -- Dwight Freeney, Randy Gradishar, Devin Hester, Andre Johnson, Steve McMichael, Julius Peppers and Patrick Willis -- will be aired on ESPN and NFL Network.
Freeney will be the first enshrinee to deliver his speech. The show then will cut away to a segment taped earlier today in suburban Chicago, where McMichael received his Gold Jacket and his friends and family unveiled his Bronze Bust.
The speeches will resumes with (in order) Gradishar, Hester, Willis, Peppers and Johnson taking the stage.
