Myles Garrett’s sack records celebrated in Canton

In the Browns’ Week 17 game, Dec. 29 against the Miami Dolphins in Cleveland, Garrett logged sacks 13 and 14 on the season to become the first player since 1982 (when the individual sack became an official statistic) to record at least 14 sacks in four consecutive seasons (2021-24).
Additionally, Garrett became the third player since 1982 with at least 13 sacks in five or more of his first eight seasons, joining Pro Football Hall of Famer REGGIE WHITE (seven seasons) and T.J. Watt (five).
“He's the best pass rusher in the game,” teammate and offensive guard Joel Bitonio told ClevelandBrowns.com following the game. “I think you could ask all the players, ask all the coaches. He's probably the guy they fear going up against the most. He's dynamic. He's a special player.”
In a Week 16 contest against in-state rival Cincinnati, Garrett surpassed the 100 career sacks mark after sacking Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow in the second quarter.
With that effort, Garrett became the first player since 1982 to reach 100 career sacks prior to his 29th birthday. Garrett turned 29 on Dec. 29. Garret joins White (124), DeMARCUS WARE (111), Jared Allen (105) and T.J. Watt (104 after Week 12) as players who recorded 100 sacks in their first eight seasons.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame received the jersey, gloves and wristband Garrett wore during his record-setting performance against the Dolphins and has placed the items on display in its “Pro Football Today Gallery.”
