Brandon Aubrey enters NFL record book; shoe enters museum
Not yet three full seasons into his National Football League career, Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey already has established himself as one of the best ever from long range.His successful 61-yard field goal in the Cowboys' 44-22 over the Washington Commanders on Oct. 19, 2025, marked his fifth field goal of at least 60 yards, setting the NFL record for most from that distance.
Through eight games this season, Aubrey has not missed a field goal attempt, connecting on 16 overall, including five from 50 yards and beyond. He is 29-for-32 lifetime from that distance and has connected from beyond 60 in each of his three NFL seasons with a career-long 65-yarder in 2024.
As a rookie in 2023, Aubrey scored a league-leading 157 points, earning him All-Pro honors, and he followed with 150 points in 2024. With 74 points to date, he is on pace for his third 150-point season.
The shoe Aubrey wore to make the 61-yard field goal against Washington has been placed on display inside the museum at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. It can be seen in the “Pro Football Today Gallery" along with other items from the League’s 2025 season.
