The National Football League’s Most Valuable Player in 2005 was the special guest of a dinner at the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday evening.

Shaun Alexander of the NFC champion Seattle Seahawks was the focus of a tribute at the museum.  Invited guests enjoyed an evening with the record-setting running back who led the NFL in rushing this past season.

After addressing the audience and taking many questions from those on hand in the Hall’s NFL Films Theater, Alexander helped unveil a new exhibit featuring his single-season touchdown record.

The helmet, jersey, pants, and shoes that he wore on January 1, 2006 when he scored his 28th touchdown of the season, a new NFL mark, is now on display in the Pro Football Today Room.
