Quotes…

“Anything LT (Lawrence Taylor) could do, Andre could do it just as well.  He could rush the passer just as well, stop the run just as well, cover backs out of the backfield just as well.  He just never got the notoriety of LT because we played up in New England.” – Irving Fryar, former Patriots teammate

“Andre Tippett was an impact player who consistently played at a level that set him apart.  Accounting for him limited what an offense could do.  He made quarterbacks nervous….and rightly so.” – Raymond Berry, former Patriots head coach and Hall of Fame wide receiver

“If ever there was a Jack Armstrong this guy is it.  He as the All-American boy to me.  He did everything you’re supposed to do.  He earned this.” – Frank Verducci, football coach at the University of Iowa

“This is by far the proudest moment of my professional career. I will be joining the greats of the game and I am deeply honored.  This recognition does not only belong to be, but also to my family, the Patriots organization, my teammates and especially the fans.” – Andre Tippett following his election to the Hall of Fame
