Bobby Bell Ready for Diploma

Hall of Famers Published on : 5/14/2015
Gold Jacket Bobby Bell is one the most highly honored college lineman at the University of Minnesota. The former All-American led the Gophers to the 1960 national championship and a 1962 Rose Bowl victory before becoming one of the best players to play professional football.

Today, Bell will cap off his college career and accomplish his lifelong goal when he receives his diploma.

Bell will graduate from Minnesota, 52 years after his college career was done. The 74-year-old Bell recently returned to the school he left 13 credits short of a degree in recreation, park and leisure studies. The university guided him toward fulfillment of the promise he once made to his late father.

We congratulate Bobby Bell in his pursuit and completion of excellence!
