Two days after New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees broke Johnny Unitas’ record streak of games with a touchdown pass, the Pro Football Hall of Fame received numerous items from the historic play. See story>>>

Promised at the time was that the ball from the last game of the streak would also be sent to the Hall of Fame. On Wednesday, that football arrived and has been added to the Hall’s vast collection. The football was thrown by Brees on Nov. 25, 2012 against the San Francisco 49ers, game in which he threw three TDs. The consecutive game streak was snapped the following week and his record stands at 54.

Appropriately, Brees autographed the football and added the number “54” to it before sending it to Canton.
